There more popular than ever and greedy investors think they are going to get rich quickly with no effort. The reality check is almost all robots will destroy your account equity quickly…

95 – 98% of robots I see on the net have not even been traded!

The track record has this disclaimer on it.

Look for it in the small print if you see it and read it you will understand why it probably will fail miserably:

“CFTC RULE 4.41 – Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under-or-over compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity.

then of course the statement that makes the track record no use at al in determining profitability:

Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown”.

Now what is the logic of having a track record that has never been traded and what does it tell you?

Does it indicate anything about the profitability of the system – NO

Of Course it doesn’t and it’s a wonder that these track records are allowed to be used to sell to the public. Most of the time the traders buying the system don’t dig to deep and are generally trusting throw in some good copy and there soon buying the system.

I always read about how these forex robots are sold by ex bank traders etc – there not, there sold by marketing companies looking to tap into the huge market in forex trading products.

You can make money in forex but an automated trading system that has never been traded is not the way to do it. Let’s make one point clear:

Forex trading is NOT as easy as giving a few hundred dollars and buying success in a box – life isn’t like that!

You need to get the right forex education and do your homework – if you want to buy a forex trading system you can find some good ones with track records if you shop around – but never ever buy one with a simulation.

You could trying writing to the vendor and ask for his track record audited over say 2 years and see if you get a reply but don’t hold your breath.

Over the years, the technology used to calculate car insurance premiums has changed dramatically. Actuaries used to figure out premium levels by hand using books of statistical data. Later, adding machines and early computers ground through the numbers. More recently, online forms were invented which allowed you to get a quote online.

After all that time grinding things out, what most insurers and consumers wanted was speed. As a result, the current model for most traditional or mainline insurance companies in Australia consists of just a few questions. With these tiny points of data, a quote is generated based on aggregated consumer averages.

The result is a fast quote, but not a very accurate one. Most people dont notice that they are being treated as averages. They simply pay the quoted amount and pay rate increases even if they are accident free. However, you dont have to settle for this outdated and inaccurate system any more.

While most insurers havent gotten there yet, there are a few car insurance companies that have been pioneering a new way of calculating premiums. This new pricing methodology is based around creating highly detailed risk profiles of potential customers. This allows a calculation of premium that can truly separate high-risk from low risk customers.

There are several winning elements to this methodology. However, for consumers like you, the main benefit is often lower prices. If you are a good driver with a limited number of claims, you can really make home some substantial savings by switching to a company using this in-depth modelling framework to calculate rates for insurance cover.

It can feel a bit strange, especially after years of living with the old speed-is-everything system. Thats not to imply that this method isnt fast, mind you. It simply asks several additional questions about parking locations, length of commute to work, and so on.

As one of the early adopters, you stand to benefit the most. While your friends potter along with outdated insurance policies with off-the-rack premiums, you can have a custom tailored premium that only charges for the real risk you face as a driver and customer. Youll be able to quit subsidizing the behaviours of others through blanket premiums, and get to enjoy the fruits of your own careful behaviour on the road.

This is especially true if you really arent an “average” driver. If you only drive a few days a week, work from home and dont use your car regularly, or are retired and dont drive long distances, you have a dramatically different risk profile than most Australians. Yet you have been paying “average” rates for years, since the old method never inquired about your true habits.

Even if youre not a fan of the new and different, this is a new technology youll want to embrace. The new technology behind this quoting system isnt all flash and sparkle. It truly represents a way to make insurance premiums cheaper for you through more accurate pricing of your insurance cover based on your real risk profile.

It seems that wearable technology is going to be the in thing in the next few years. During the 2012 Google I/O, a major theme that was being pushed would be technology that would be wearable by the consumers.

Instead of having to bring along a separate device in bags or pant pockets, it seems that Google (and other tech companies for that matter) would want users to actually wear them as part of their outfit. Perhaps the idea behind this is that it would make the device much more embedded into the lives of its users.

    Historical Use:

Industry observers mentioned that the idea is not that far-fetched. In fact, the military would already have prototypes and actual products of utilizing wearable computers. Usually, these military themed devices are used either for their communications capabilities or their GPS functionalities. However, the trend is to slowly bring these military devices into use for regular consumers.

In fact, there are now more companies who have tried to integrate their devices into more wearable designs. For example, MIT researches have long been looking at how they can manufacture wearable computers. Another example would be on how Apples iPod Nano has now made a wristband like peripheral which you could use to wear the highly capable device as a wrist watch.

    Googles take:

Not one to be left behind by technology, Google also has something up their sleeve. They have previously announced the Google Glass. Google glass is a wearable device that would provide its users with a video game like heads up display while they are doing their everyday tasks.

Some analysts believe that Googles involvement in wearable technology would help push forward the acceptance of wearable devices. As of now, the use and acceptance of it is usually limited to the aforementioned military uses as well as to some of the rich and tech savvy people.

Analysts are speculating that similar to what happened with Android and smartphones, a Google role in the push for wearable technologies would also help push the number of devices that would provide this kind of function to the consumers,

Of course, people should note that despite the Google glass being highlighted in this years Google I/O, the actual thing is still in development. Many experts believe that the soonest that it would become available for commercial release would still be in 2 or 3 more years.

Near Field Communications, or NFC, is a new technology with unlimited applications.

NFC uses RFID technology built in to the latest generation of mobile phones to scan or swipe small RFID tags, which can be placed just about anywhere. Tags can be programmed to trigger different actions when they are swiped by phones.

Many businesses or organisations have field based operations that need managing in real time. NFC technology gives these businesses leading edge management capability.

NFC can be used in a diverse array of industries with mobile staff, mobile assets, or multiple sites and locations. Because NFC technology uses readily available NFC enabled mobile phones and inexpensive tags, it can be applied anywhere, and by any type of field personnel.

The key benefits of NFC technology for businesses with a field based operation include:

    1. NFC is Easy to Use

Using NFC technology is so simple, it’s accessible to just about anyone.

All that’s needed to run NFC operations in the field are RFID tags which can be situated in key locations, and NFC-enabled mobile phones.

For field operations staff, using Over-C NFC technology is simplicity itself. Just tough a tag with a phone, and that’s it. An automated NFC management system then does the rest, recording the time and location of staff, and sending them any special information or data they may need on their NFC enabled mobile phone.

    2. NFC Improves Communication

NFC is an extremely effective way of improving two way communications between managers and their staff in the field.

Whenever a field operative touches an NFC tag with their mobile phone the operational management team receive an instant and verifiable confirmation of the location of field staff. Field staff can benefit from automated reporting, which saves time and improves accuracy.

    3. NFC Enables Real Time Management

NFC technology lets businesses operate and respond in real time.

When an NFC tag is touched by a mobile phone, notification is in seconds, so operations managers always know exactly where their field personnel are, and what they are doing.

NFC allows businesses to streamline the way people work at, and report from, remote locations. It also allows field based personnel to focus on what they do best, whilst managers benefit from greater visibility in field operations.

    4. NFC Improves Customer Service

NFC technology actively helps businesses to deliver enhanced customer service.

Data reporting by field operations staff becomes faster, more efficient and more accurate.

Field operations managers can use this real time data to generate customer reports and measure results faster than ever before – and faster than their competitors.

In fact, using NFC technology in a business can give it a commercial edge to help it gain and retain high value clients.

There have been many challengers to Senuke’s reign as the top automated SEO tool available. None have been able to knock off the champ. Some have lacked the robust feature set of SEnuke. Others have been horribly buggy and not lived up to the brash promises of their creators.

The SEO and IM community have been quick to jump on alternative options to SEnuke and give them a try. Usually, those same people end up going right back to SEnuke after a few weeks of disappointment with their new toy.

Well, recently there is a new toy out that finally gives SEnuke a run for its money. It’s called SEO Link Robot.

The phrase Go Green means different things to different people. Some people have taken this idea and recycle everything they possibly can in order to keep trash out of the landfills. They also realize that not recycling is wasting products that can be reused. Other have taken the phrase and changed all their light bulbs to compact fluorescents in order to save energy. There are other people who have purchases hybrid cars or starting riding bikes to school and work in order to cut down on carbon emissions. There are literally hundreds of different ways to Go Green in our every day lives, and people are finally getting on board with it. Students have even taken up the challenge with their water science fair projects. Some of the latest submissions to these events are water science fair projects with a focus on the philosophy of Go Green.

Water science fair projects are particularly well suited to the environmental movements occurring today. Much of the concern for the environment by governmental and private eco groups is for the health of our water supply. Water science fair projects can focus on many different aspects of this concern. One area is the need for potable water in many areas of the world. What we take for granted that just comes out of the pipes in our homes is a rare commodity in many parts of the world. In developing nations the lack of clean drinking water is on the top of the list, and for good reason. Nothing survives without water. A students water science fair project just may have the answers for this critical life-threatening problem.

Another area the students focus on with their water science fair projects is the negative effect of pollution. This is particularly suited for demonstration purposes at science fairs. While all are familiar with the disastrous effects of ecological tragedies such as oil spills, less is known about the long-term effects of other types of pollution. This is one area a student may explore with their water science fair project. An additional area of concern lately is the health of the fresh water rivers of the world. Students are also taking these larger issues, researching them, and presenting their findings for their water science fair projects.

To truly understand improvements in operations efficiency using field service management software, one needs to understand the old way of doing business. Let’s use an example of a duct cleaning business. The old way would be that their field technicians would leave their homes, and drive into the office. From there, either through a morning meeting or a white board, they’d get their schedules for the day, collect the pre-prepared paperwork they needed for each job, and finally hit the road.

They have their regular sites that they’d visit, sometimes passing other coworkers on the road. At the end of every job, the clients would sign off on their work orders, which were all collected, and at the end of the day, the technician would have to drive back to the office to drop that paperwork off on their managers desk. Now the manager has a stack of work orders the next day, and would have to review each work order, and write up a new invoice, containing basically all the same information as what was on the work order.

Every single step above contains an inefficiency that is solved when properly leveraging field service management software. Field technicians can leave their home, log on to their mobile device and immediately receive their scheduled work orders for the day that are already efficiently scheduled based on geolocations of other appointments for the day, minimizing travel time and gas money.

Customers can receive automated emails notifying them when the technician is en route to their location, with an estimated time of arrival, and a picture of the technician that’s going to arrive. On a particular job, if an additional requirement came up that wasn’t included on the original quote, they can easily make the necessary changes to the work order on the fly. Providing top notch customer service to clients in need, and keeping the customer happy.

When jobs are finished they can automatically update any changes in inventory, collect digital signatures and payment, and have their signed documents saved to the cloud. Automatically sync the job to the companies accounting software, and have the completed work order accessible by the back office in real time. Thus drastically reducing the work to payment cycle and improving overall cashflow, and automating the traditional back office processes.

By empowering technicians with mobile devices with access to back office software, not only can multiple hours per day can be saved and applied to additional jobs by field technicians, but back office processes can be totally automated and eliminated improving productivity of the back office, and overall efficiency.

If we had to pick one word to describe today’s online experience, “dynamic” might be a good choice. Whereas the early days of the web featured mostly static pages with lots of text and not much else, the sites you see now are bursting with information of all kinds, with a lot of two-way interaction and audience engagement and activities. The advent of multimedia, of course, has played a huge and important role in this evolution.

As broadband speeds have become faster and media quality has improved, things like images, video, and even live streaming have become not only possible, but commonplace and easy to access. Given that multimedia is everywhere nowadays, intelligent marketers understand the need for incorporating a fair amount of multimedia into online marketing strategies.

Even the smallest businesses with the simplest goals can benefit from including multimedia as part of their campaigns, and doing so can open you up to a whole new level of engaging with potential customers.

Video, for example, used to be only for a select few. It was expensive to make, difficult to maintain quality, and many people did not have the bandwidth or the necessary hardware specs to view videos on the web. Now, of course, just about every smartphone has a halfway decent camcorder, and most can directly upload videos to YouTube, many in high definition. This means that even the smallest business owners can start making interesting videos for an interested audience, with very little investment and almost no required technical knowledge.

In addition, failing to take advantage of multimedia can have consequences. Given that it’s so accessible to so many now, failing to jump on the bandwagon can mean a site and a marketing campaign that comes across as boring, stale, and out-of-date. Multimedia adds a level of excitement that will interest visitors, and it will make marketing more interesting for you, as well. Being able to connect with your audience in every way possible is a great feeling, and will come across well as you’re sending your message out to your target demographic.

In short, the sooner you can get started with multimedia, the better it will be for your business and growth. How much multimedia have you included so far as part of your online marketing campaigns? Have you noticed a difference in how people respond to you as you have ramped up your multimedia efforts?
